The Butterfly Effect: Transforming Your Perimenopausal Experience With NNABI

Apple Podcast | Spotify | Audible

In this episode of The Pause Pod, I delve into the often-overlooked topic of perimenopause with guests EJ Kim and Marina Pen.

EJ shares her struggles with PCOS and the confusion surrounding her perimenopausal journey, while Marina discusses her experiences with endometriosis.

Both highlight the lack of information and support for women in this phase. We also talk about their brand, NNABI, which offers education and natural supplements tailored to perimenopausal women.

The conversation further emphasizes the importance of self-care, community support, and the need for more research and resources to empower women during this transitional period.

A Bit About Marina & EJ

Marina Pen

Originally from Argentina, Marina Pen has called New York home for the past decade. With 20+ years in marketing and advertising, she built a career helping Fortune 500 brands connect with consumers.

About five years ago, Marina faced a challenge she never saw coming—night sweats, anxiety, and mood swings. Assuming it was stress, she carried on—until her research revealed she was in perimenopause. Shocked and unprepared, she realized how little awareness existed around this life stage.

EJ Kim

Born and raised in Daejeon, South Korea, EJ Kim moved to the U.S. at 15 to pursue her dream of becoming an international businesswoman. With nearly two decades in marketing and brand strategy, she built a career helping companies grow through research, data analytics, and insights.

But her real passion emerged from her own struggles with PCOS, fertility issues, and hormonal imbalances. Frustrated by invasive treatments, she sought a more natural, holistic approach—leading her to a deeper understanding of perimenopause and its widespread lack of awareness.

The duo founded NNABI to redefine perimenopause care—putting education first, offering science-backed solutions, and empowering women to take control of their health, with real solutions for perimenopause. More than just products, NNABI is building a sisterhood of Peri Babes, ensuring women never have to navigate this journey alone.

This episode is packed with insights. Pull up and tune in.
